LightSpeed Photos, Inc. is a combination of over 50 years of creative experience in all areas of photography, video, AV, graphics, web services and attractions. We have traditional photographic values that are on the cutting edge of new technology. Photos are produced on site at events as large as the 50,000 member National FFA Convention. We provide special effects and in park photos for zoos and attractions. Great action photos to tender moments at a wedding, if it can be photographed we deliver it at the speed of light.

Gil Courson has been a professional photographer since 1973. He started in photojournalism. After working for newspapers in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Florida, he returned home to The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky. His last eight years on staff at The Courier-Journal were spent specializing in advertising and studio work. For the past 13 years, Gil has operated Lightspeed Photos in Louisville. Cathy Courson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who cares for the Human Resources needs of Lightspeed. She also manages the Louisville Zoo operation and is involved with marketing. 

Heather Courson is the Chief Financial Officer of Lightspeed. She handles all areas of finance and oversees the office management. She has experience as  a Legal Assistant for Chi Chi's restaurant's corporate office . She was also the office &  billing  assistant and shipping manager for Payton Flameworks. 

Chris Courson graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Communications & Video Production.  He has been working in the field for 10 years and has worked around the globe on documentaries with the BBC and PBS.
